I didn’t expect this

I had an eye-opening experience in my old stomping grounds of Fayette County. I knew Trilith Studios (formerly Pinewood Atlanta Studios) had been built on what used to be rolling pastureland near the hospital, but I had no idea it would be this massive. It covers more than 700 acres and has over 30 soundstages. This is where they made “Black Panther” and other Marvel movies. I knew shops and homes had grown up around the studio, but again, I wasn’t prepared for the size and completeness. Trilith’s commercial district is like a little tourist town built from one vision, with cobblestone streets,  restaurants, boutiques, and a very nice bookstore called Scholar & Scribe, where I signed copies of my novel. No surprise, it feels like a movie set. One benefit of doing events to promote “The Accident Report” is that I’m getting reacquainted with places I wouldn’t have visited otherwise, and getting to see old friends like Barbara Hudson. Thanks for your hospitality, @scholarandscribe. @behudson50 #fayetteville #trilith #trilithstudios (Aerial photo from Studio Housing Atlanta.)
